Professional Experience


AUGUST 2016 – Six days at News UK with The Times and The Sun. I was one of 20 young journalists across the country to be selected to work at News UK to create a 16-page newspaper within a week.

AUGUST 2016 – Five days at LBC (the first day was my 21st birthday). I worked with newsreaders across Global brands, set up guests and back-up guests for Shelagh Fogarty’s show, helped the web team (Adrian and Neil) by writing four news articles taken from interesting show callers for the website, created webpages for the Mystery Hour Questions section of the new website.

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2015 – Ten days at BBC Radio Nottingham. I was a reporter, edited and narrated packages for broadcast on their drivetime show, and set up guests and stories for drivetime.

MAY 2014 – Five days at the Newark Advertiser. I was a reporter going out on diary jobs by myself to cover local stories. I got bylines in the newspaper’s print edition. I also wrote up press releases into NIBs. 


Editor and Presenter of the Siren FM Breakfast Show from June 2015 to present. I’m responsible for broadcasting four hours of content per week on an Ofcom licensed community station, managing a small team, driving the desk, gathering my own stories for content, and self-producing the show on-air.

Editor of The Linc, University of Lincoln’s independent student newspaper from May 2016 to present. I write news articles, editorials, grammar and fact check, legally approve articles, and am putting ideas into place to make the newspaper much more engaging to our audience.

Bylines online and in print for my local newspapers the Newark Advertiser and the Lincolnshire Echo.

Attended General Election count in May 2015 – gathering information, quotes, and pictures for the BBC, reporting by phone for Siren FM and by video on Skype for LSJ News.

Reported on the Police and Crime Commissioner Election count for the Lincolnshire Echo, as well as interviewing candidates in the build up for Siren FM and LSJ News.
